Sarah Segrest is a Vietnamese-born American triathlete and is the first Vietnamese-born person to win a USA Triathlon Texas State Championship title.
Segrest began her triathlon career in March 2025, placing second in her age group at her first triathlon. Since then, she has continued to take podium finishes in her age group. These winnings qualified her for the 2025 USA Triathlon National Championships in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While in Milwaukee, her performance qualified her for Team USA AG as well as the 2026 World Championship.
For Sarah, training and competing aren’t just her priorities; Sarah is dedicated to promoting increased female and AAPI representation in the sport as well as inspiring others to live for something bigger than their own interests.

Community Engagement
In addition to her athletic pursuits, Sarah demonstrates a strong commitment to community engagement. She volunteers with organizations like the Alzheimer's Association and Asia Society, mentors undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Tennessee, and regularly supports amfAR and various other charities.
